Dear Neena98, The first thing to do is run a self-test. You can do this by turning the radio on and setting it to a local station. Push the #3 and #6 preset buttons until the unit goes into a speaker test. After it enters it,push the #1 button. This will run the on-board self test.
2 answers. To set the hour, press and hold the CLK control and press SEEK. (Use arrows to increase or decrease hours). To set the minutes, press and hold the CLK control and press TUNE and use arrows. This should work unless your vehicle has a separate clock module. (Other than the digital radio display).
Thanks as this sounds to be the 3.0 liter which helps here. O.k.,locate fuses 28 ( 5 amp) and 39 ( 20 amp) and remove these for about 5 minutes then reinstall. This should reset the unit for it to work again in most cases. These fuses are located in the smart junction block. If this does not work or if it does work but the issue then comes back then this indicates a fault in the unit itself on
How to Test a Fuse. Step 1: You’ll need to your Ford Flex’s fuse box location . On most makes and models, it’s to the left of the driver’s seat (when you are behind the steering wheel). Step 2: Once you access your vehicle’s fuse box, you’ll need to locate the radio fuse. You should see a schematic printed on the door.
Then about 30 minutes later like i said, it just goes away. Instantly. Then it continues to work fine throughout the rest of the day, even at night when it gets bitchin' cold again. This is only for the radio though, not the 6-disc changer (because that is jammed and won't work anyway but that's a whole other set of problems).
